One. César Manrique-Lanzarote Airport is the only airport on the island that services both domestic and international flights. 

It is located approximately 3 miles from Arrecife, Lanzarote’s capital city.

The Lanzarote Airport is currently operating. 

It is open from 6 AM – 12 AM during the summer season (March to October) and 7 AM – 1 AM during winter (November to February).

Since tourism makes up a huge portion of the island’s income, holidaymakers are welcomed and given the easiest ways to travel from the airport to multiple destinations. 

You have 3 options upon your arrival at the airport:

  • Bus – Buses are right outside the airport and go to most major resorts like Playa Blanca (Line 161), Playa Honda (Line 23), and Playa del Carmen (Line 261).

    Fare starts at €1.40 for a one-way trip. 
  • Taxi – The taxi station is located in front of the airport, just outside the arrival lounge. Drivers are reliable and generally speak good English.

    Prices vary depending on your destination but are mostly fair and affordable. 
  • Car Hire – Car rentals are inside the airport and you can easily choose a great quality car that suits your needs.

    You can do so by booking online, or you can opt to rent one in person from the many car rental companies available at the airport.

What Terminal Is Lanzarote Airport?

Lanzarote Airport consists of two terminals: Terminal 1 and Terminal 2.

Terminal 1 is busier than the latter since it hosts all international flights and some domestic flights to & from Lanzarote. 

Here, you have broader options for dining and shopping because most stores are strategically located in this terminal.

You’ll also be able to access ATMs, tour operators, and travel agencies in Terminal 1. 

On the other hand, Terminal 2 is known as the inter-island terminal.

It services all domestic passengers that fly between the Canary Islands. 

This terminal has only one level and unlike Terminal 1 with lots of restaurants, T2 has a single cafe.

Lanzarote Airport has a private lounge called Guacimeta VIP Lounge. 

You can find it in Terminal 1, just in front of boarding gates 1 & 2 and next to the shops and catering areas. 

It is open from 6 AM to 10 PM or until the last scheduled flight. 

Every lounge user is given access to the following services: Wi-Fi, television, catering, rest area, and digital press.

All users are allowed a scheduled stay of 4 hours (maximum).
