1. Portobello Irish Pub

This little Irish pub is the place to be if you want to enjoy a good selection of drinks and fair-priced foods. The chill vibes and the very welcoming staff make the spot even better.

2. Las Brisas

Aside from its stunning view of the marina, I love the bar in this resort. They offer comfy seating for you to enjoy drinks and chat with other brits.

Plus, they serve good English coffee, one of the best coffees I’ve had in Playa Blanca. They host games and quiz nights, too!

3. Popeyes Sports Bar

Popeye’s Restaurant Sky Sports Bar

Popeyes offers cheaper drinks and meals compared to most bars in the resort town. Estrella is only 2 euros per pint, and the food is served in generous portions.

So if you ever fancy some affordable ice-cold beers while you watch your favorite sports, you know where to go.

4. Irish Anvil Bar

If you’re a big sports fan, this bar is a must-visit! They got over 10 televisions dotted around the place, featuring various sports coverage. The selection of drinks and meals is excellent. And to top it all off, they also have amazing live music on certain nights.

5. Barney’s

Barney’s at Papagayo Center

Unwinding at Barney’s is among the top things to do in Playa Blanca. The food and drinks menu is fantastic, but the one thing that patrons can’t get enough of is the bar’s atmosphere.

During the daytime, it seems like your typical sports bar, but after sundown — Barney’s is where you want to be. The live entertainment is fabulous! Barney, the owner, plays most nights and features delightful Irish music.

6. The Harp

This Irish pub is very popular among tourists, and my best guess is it’s because of their equally good menu and live performances. The Harp’s inviting atmosphere and superb ocean view are other reasons that draw holidaymakers in.
