Because of excitement, it’s easy to forget a thing or two when packing your suitcase for a Lanzarote trip.

Travel Essentials For A Lanzarote Trip

Important Documents

Important documents such as passport/visa, driver’s license, health insurance card, booking confirmations, and travel insurance should always top your travel checklist.

Because, unlike typical products like clothes or toiletries, there are no instant and easy alternatives for these IDs and personal records.

Plus, forgetting or losing such documents on a trip will likely cause inconvenience.

So before you pack everything else, double-check that these documents are organized and ready.

Personal Care / Toiletries

Accommodations in Lanzarote often provide guests with basic toiletries like shampoo, soap, and towels.

Besides, they are cheaper to buy from the local shop than it is to buy from England.

So I advise you not to bring your own toiletries unless you have a favorite special brand that you use.

And the best part of not carrying your own toiletries is that you have more room to pack extra shoes or clothes as well as packing a smaller bag that usually is free of charge to bring with you on the plane.

It’s a great way to avoid paying for expensive luggage charges.

There are just a few things that you won’t find in Playa Blanca, and one of them is dry shampoo.

So if you usually use one, make sure to bring it from England.

Medication

Regarding medicine, it’s easy to buy painkillers and other over-the-counter drugs for cough and allergies (cheaper than in England) once you’re there.

But if you have a pre-existing or chronic medical condition, don’t forget to bring the prescription medicines given by your doctor.

You can also check this post about Lanzarote’s healthcare if you’re interested to know more about the island’s medical healthcare services.

Clothes

Besides swimwear and flip-flops, I also recommend you bring some lightweight sweaters and long pants.

It’s because, in wintertime, Lanzarote’s temperature tends to drop after sundown.

So it’s warm during the day, but it does get cold at night, so it’s best to take a cardigan with you and some leggings or jeans.

Also, if you’re planning to go on a walk or hike on the island, walking shoes, sunhats, sunglasses, windbreakers, and even gym gear will come in handy.

Tech And Miscellaneous Travel Stuff

A friendly reminder: the power plugs and sockets in Spain is different than the ones in the UK.

So, bringing your own travel adapters and voltage converters will save you from future frustration and inconvenience.

Also, don’t forget to pack the chargers for all your gadgets as well as additional extension leads.
